Pune: In the holy and devotional atmosphere of Ashadhi Wari, the 'Samvad Wari' initiative implemented by the Directorate General of Information and Public Relations of the Government of Maharashtra is becoming a center of attraction for Warkaris.

Information about the government's various public welfare schemes, development works and public interest initiatives is being effectively conveyed to lakhs of Warkars through informative exhibitions, a chariot providing information about development, and art troupe programs presented through folk art.

This initiative, set up on the route of the Palkhi ceremony of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Sant Tukaram Maharaj, is receiving a spontaneous response from the Warkars. This initiative, which provides information on development in an atmosphere of devotion, is working to make the communication between the government and the public more effective.

The information exhibition set up under 'Samvad Wari' is introducing various development works and schemes of the state government through attractive photographs, informative graphs and neat layout. Information on infrastructure, agriculture, water conservation, women empowerment, education, health, industry, employment, environment, tourism, social justice, tribal development, digital services as well as various public welfare schemes is being made available through the exhibition. Warkari people are gathering in large numbers to see the exhibition and many are learning more about the schemes.

The informative Chitrarath, a special attraction of 'Samvad Wari', is attracting the attention of the Warkari on the Wari route. With its attractive visual design, informative boards, messages given through loudspeakers and information about various government schemes, this Chitrarath has become a walking and talking information center. During the Wari journey, thousands of Warkari people are stopping near the Chitrarath and getting information about various schemes.

Information about various government schemes is being presented effectively along with entertainment through the art troupes of the Directorate General of Information and Public Relations through Bharud, Powade, Shahiri, folk songs, dramas and songs.

This message conveyed through folk art is easily reaching the Warakaris and the programs are receiving a spontaneous response. Enlightenment through entertainment is being carried forward more effectively through this Santparampara initiative. 'Samvad Wari' has emerged as an effective medium for direct communication with the lakhs of citizens participating in Wari.

With the availability of accurate information about government schemes, awareness among citizens is increasing and they are getting encouragement to take advantage of various schemes. The Directorate General of Information and Public Relations is making an effective effort to convert information into people's power and to reach the last section of the society through 'Samvad Wari', which creates a beautiful confluence of devotion, folk culture and development.

On July 15, the palanquin of Sant Tukaram Maharaj will be at Baramati and the palanquin of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj will be at Lonand. At both these places, public awareness will be created through exhibitions, art floats and art troupes under 'Samvad Wari'. The exhibitions will provide information about various welfare schemes, development works and public interest initiatives of the government to the devotees and warkars, and this information will be conveyed to the public in a more effective and attractive manner through the presentation of art floats and art troupes.
