Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and both Deputy Chief Ministers have expressed their profound grief and paid tribute to Padma Bhushan Suman Kalyanpur following her passing.

In his condolence message, the Governor remarked that Suman Kalyanpur’s songs were imbued with sweetness, fluidity, and purity. He expressed the sentiment that her demise has left a sacred void within the hallowed realm of the music world.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis paid tribute with the words, "The divine, melodious voice of 'Suman' has fallen silent," expressing the feeling that, with her passing, the world has lost a devoted and passionate artistic seeker. He also fondly recalled her songs across various languages, including Marathi, Hindi, Bengali, and Odia.

Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde expressed his sorrow with the words, "The 'Suman' (flower) of music has withered." He further noted that, despite lacking any formal musical lineage, she carved an unshakable niche for herself in the field of music solely on the strength of her innate talent and unwavering dedication.

Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar expressed the sentiment that a resplendent golden era in the world of music has come to an end, noting that an invaluable voice—one possessing the extraordinary power to convey deep emotions through melody—has now been lost.
