Heavy rains in Pune district have disrupted normal life in the Pabe Ghat area. The stream passing through Pabe Ghat via Khamgaon has been flooded, causing major disruption to traffic.

A strong flow of water is flowing over the bridge at Thoptewadi on the road leading to Velhe village via Pune-Khanapur-Ranjane-Pabe. Due to this, the administration has temporarily closed the traffic on this route for safety reasons.

Due to this situation, about 10 to 12 villages in the area have lost contact and citizens are facing major difficulties. The Pabe Ghat road has been completely closed and the alternative route to Panshet has also been submerged and is not available for traffic.

The local administration has appealed to citizens to avoid visiting flood-affected areas, not to attempt to cross the bridge when water is flowing, and to follow official instructions. The administration is continuously monitoring the situation as the heavy rains continue.
