Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 75 redeveloped Amrut Bharat railway stations across the country via remote control from Jalandhar in Punjab yesterday. The same event also inaugurated a new train service between Daulatpur Chowk-Kartauli and a phase of the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway. The Amrut Bharat stations inaugurated include Nandura and Baramati railway stations in Maharashtra.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister flagged off the country's first hydrogen-powered train on the Jind-Sonepat route from Jind railway station in Haryana. The Prime Minister said that Indian Railways has taken an important technological step towards running trains on steam in the 19th century, diesel in the 20th century and hydrogen in the 21st century. He also mentioned that the hydrogen train is a great example of the 'Make in India' initiative.
