Sonam Wangchuk's protest, which has been on a fast unto death at Delhi's Jantar Mantar for the past 21 days for the NEET exam scandal and the fair rights of students, has taken a very dramatic turn today. Considering her extremely deteriorated condition, Delhi Police has urgently admitted her to Safdarjung Hospital.

Official explanation from the New Delhi DCP office:

High Court Order: DCP New Delhi informed through a social media post that Sonam Wangchuk has been shifted to the hospital to avoid any threat to her life as per the orders of the Hon'ble High Court and the advice of medical experts.

Protesters obstruct and shout: While complying with the court order, some protesters tried to obstruct the police action, which led to chaos and shouting for some time. However, the police showed extreme restraint and safely escorted Wangchuk out, the police said.

Appeal to vacate the site: In order to maintain law and order, the police have appealed to other protesters at Jantar Mantar to vacate the site as soon as possible and peacefully.

Serious allegations by CJP and opposition:

On the other hand, Abhijit Deepke, founder and spokesperson of the 'Cockroach Janata Party' (CJP), which is organizing the protest, has accused the police of using force. The protesters have claimed that Wangchuk was secretly taken away from the protest site by putting up a white curtain. Meanwhile, the CJP has taken a stand that even though Wangchuk has been taken to the hospital, the 'Parliament March' to be held on July 20 will not be stopped under any circumstances.
