Prime Minister Narendra Modi has embarked on a six-day visit to Indonesia, Australia, and New Zealand. Mr. Modi stated that he is visiting Indonesia at the invitation of President Prabowo Subianto. This visit will further strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto visited India as the chief guest for the 2025 Republic Day celebrations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that in Indonesia, he will visit the Prambanan Temple with President Subianto and also interact with the Indian diaspora.

From Indonesia, Prime Minister Modi will travel to Australia. He is visiting at the invitation of Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. His visit will further strengthen the India-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. The two sides will discuss defense and security, trade and investment, education, mobility, emerging technologies, sports, and public relations. Mr. Modi will also meet with people of Indian diaspora in Australia.

Following this, Prime Minister Modi will travel to Auckland at the invitation of New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon. This visit will discuss economic, trade, and commercial ties and provide new impetus to bilateral relations. Prime Minister Luxon visited India in March last year.

Prime Minister Modi said that the visit to Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand will further strengthen India's Act East Policy, Ocean Goals and India's vision for an open and free Indo-Pacific region.
