Delhi – The years-long wait for lakhs of air travelers across Delhi-NCR and Western Uttar Pradesh is finally coming to an end. Flight operations are set to commence on June 15th from the 'Noida International Airport,' located at Jewar. In this context, a decision taken by the 'Airports Economic Regulatory Authority' (AERA) has truly given wings to the hopes of travelers dreaming of affordable air travel from this airport. Specifically, AERA has approved a new tariff structure for the upcoming operations of the Noida International Airport. Consequently, passengers traveling from Noida Airport will be required to pay a significantly lower 'User Development Fee' compared to those traveling from Delhi's 'Indira Gandhi International Airport' (IGI).

(As per the new guidelines) For domestic passengers departing from Noida Airport, a fee of ₹490 has been fixed until March 31, 2027 — (and) for international passengers, this fee will be ₹980. — (Meanwhile) For passengers arriving at (entering) the airport, the fee for domestic travel has been set at ₹210, and for international travel, it has been set at ₹420. — (Furthermore) Airlines such as 'Akasa Air' and 'IndiGo' have provided significant relief to passengers traveling from Noida Airport. — (Reports also suggest that) Akasa and IndiGo have reduced their ticket fares. — (According to available information) On Monday, the ticket fare for an Akasa flight from Noida to Bengaluru was over ₹8,000; this rate has since been reduced to ₹6,500. — (Similarly,) for the Noida-Lucknow flight scheduled for June 15, the initial fare for an IndiGo ticket was ₹4,981. — (Now,) based on bookings made on May 12, the fare for this ticket has been reduced to ₹3,394.
