The monsoon session of Parliament began amid uproar from the opposition parties. The 'Question Hour' in the Lok Sabha was disrupted due to the uproar from the opposition parties. Commenting on the situation, the Lok Sabha Speaker noted that Parliament is for meaningful discussions and dialogue and sloganeering does not maintain the dignity of the House.

Meanwhile, the Rajya Sabha proceedings began today with the oath-taking ceremony of newly appointed members. Several MPs including Mukeshbhai Rathwa (BJP, Gujarat), Pawan Kheda (Congress, Karnataka) and Mahesh Kewat (BJP, Madhya Pradesh) took oath.

Tributes were also paid to the deceased MPs in the upper house (Rajya Sabha). Later, the House was adjourned due to uproar by the opposition parties.
