A leopard entered a residential area in Korambi village of Nagbhid taluka of Chandrapur district this morning, creating a stir in the area.

However, a major tragedy was averted due to the prompt action of the forest department, and the leopard was safely captured after a rescue operation that lasted for about three to four hours.

The leopard was trapped in the house, making it difficult to trap it. Therefore, a specially trained tranquilizer team was immediately called from Chandrapur. This operation was very challenging, as the leopard could become aggressive at any moment.

The forest department team, remaining calm and seizing the right opportunity, administered the correct anesthesia to the leopard. After the anesthesia was administered, the forest officials entered the house, safely captured the leopard, and moved it to a cage.

This entire campaign has brought a sigh of relief to the citizens of the area, and the rescue operation, which lasted three to four hours, has come to a successful conclusion.
