A criminal case has been registered at the Wardha Police Station against Naresh Revate, Tax Collector and Voter Level Officer (BLO) of Wardha Municipal Council, for negligence in the work under the ongoing Special In-depth Review (SIR) program as per the directions of the Election Commission of India.

As per the directions of the Election Commission of India, a special in-depth review programme has been launched from June 30, 2026. Under this campaign, orders have been given to complete the work of door-to-door voter survey, collection, digitization and distribution of registration forms within a specified time frame.

This responsibility was entrusted to Naresh Revate, who was working as BLO in Voter List Part No. 270 under Wardha Assembly Constituency No. 47. While the Election Department was reviewing this program daily, it was noticed that the necessary work was not being done in the concerned areas.
