A landslide has occurred in the Kasara Ghat due to the ongoing heavy rains in the Igatpuri-Kasara area of Nashik district. Traffic was affected for some time after the landslide. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the administration and the concerned agencies immediately rushed to the spot and started the work of clearing the landslide.

The police, Public Works Department and Highways Administration are monitoring the situation and regulating traffic. The administration has appealed to drivers to take special precautions while traveling through the ghat.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rains in Nashik district and there is a risk of landslides in the Ghat area. Therefore, citizens have been appealed to avoid unnecessary travel and follow the instructions of the administration.
