Madhya Pradesh's first international flight service is starting from Indore today. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will flag off the first direct flight service from Indore to Abu Dhabi. This service is being started under the state's 'Civil Aviation Policy-2025'.

This Air India Express flight will operate four days a week - Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. This new service will greatly benefit passengers from Indore and Malwa-Nimar regions. Earlier, passengers going to Abu Dhabi had to travel via Delhi or Mumbai, which took seven to eight hours. With this new direct flight, this journey will be completed in approximately three hours and fifteen minutes.

This air service is expected to boost trade, investment, tourism and industrial activities. According to the state government, air connectivity in the state is being continuously expanded under the 'Civil Aviation Policy-2025'. So far, eight new air routes have been approved under this policy; flight services have already started on four of these routes, while services on the remaining routes will start soon.

The government is confident that the Indore-Abu Dhabi flight will pave the way for more international and domestic flights from the state in the future.
