Five people were killed and 11 seriously injured in a horrific road accident late last night near Kilaramou village in the Baghwala police station area of Etah. The accident occurred when a bus belonging to the Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation's Etah depot was parked on the roadside due to a technical fault. The bus was traveling from Farrukhabad to Delhi. A speeding container truck struck the bus from behind. The impact was so severe that another vehicle was also caught in the accident, causing chaos at the scene. Police, administration, and health department teams arrived at the scene immediately after receiving information. With the help of local residents, the injured were evacuated and admitted to the Government Medical College, Etah, where they are undergoing treatment. Doctors report that the condition of several injured remains critical. Upon receiving information about the incident, District Magistrate Arvind Singh and Senior Superintendent of Police Elamaran arrived at the scene and reviewed the relief and rescue operations. The police have sent the bodies for post-mortem. The administration has assured the best possible treatment for the injured and has launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
