Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat delivered a keynote address on Hindutva, human unity, and pluralism at the 'One World, One Humanity' international conference held in New York, United States, on Sunday, August 30, 2026. Addressing an international audience of prominent community leaders, distinguished scholars, policy experts, and religious figures, Bhagwat asserted that Hindutva fundamentally respects religious diversity, upholds human dignity, and recognizes that diverse spiritual paths can lead to the same universal truth. He emphasized that the philosophy of Hindutva embraces all traditions without discrimination or prejudice.

During his comprehensive address, the RSS Chief addressed common misconceptions surrounding Hindutva, cultural heritage, and national identity. He stated that considering Muslims as separate or outside the nation's ethos goes against the foundational spirit and ethos of Hindutva. Highlighting India's millennia-old tradition of peaceful coexistence, Bhagwat emphasized that the core tenets of Indian civilization teach universal brotherhood, mutual respect, peaceful collaboration, and acceptance of different faiths and cultural traditions across the globe.

Historical Perspective and Preservation of Civilizational Values

Reflecting on India's historical journey, Mohan Bhagwat noted that Indian society endured prolonged periods of foreign invasions, social turmoil, and colonial rule. He observed that while the country suffered significant material, cultural, and institutional losses during these historical disruptions, India's core civilizational ethos remained resilient, unbroken, and spiritually vibrant.

He underscored that despite centuries of historical upheaval, India's traditional value system continues to educate society on the principles of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' (the world is one family), serving as a timeless guide for global harmony, moral governance, and mutual coexistence among nations.

Call for Moral Leadership and Global Peace

In the context of contemporary international conflicts, economic uncertainties, and societal polarization, Bhagwat urged religious and community leaders worldwide to consistently disseminate messages of unity, mutual tolerance, constructive dialogue, and ethical responsibility.

He concluded by stating that fostering human unity, spiritual alignment, and collective goodwill is more critical today than ever before, positioning India's ancient philosophy as a constructive and practical model for addressing modern global challenges.
