Incessant rain has severely disrupted life in the upper and remote areas of Himachal Pradesh. Several panchayats in the Rampur subdivision of Shimla district have lost contact, while rural roads have also been damaged. The situation is such that people are forced to risk their lives to travel. Due to incessant rain in the Rampur subdivision, the water level of the Ganvi drain is continuously rising, disrupting the connectivity of several nearby panchayats, including Jagori, Kyao, and Koot. Due to the strong current in the drain, people are facing significant risks in commuting, disrupting daily activities.

Meanwhile, the road connecting Rampur's remote area, Kashapat, has been severely damaged by the rain. Debris and erosion at several locations on the road have made vehicular movement extremely difficult. Instead of waiting for administrative assistance, local villagers have taken up the task of restoring the road themselves, so that movement can return to normal. The villagers have demanded that the administration immediately begin relief and repair work in the affected areas. They also demanded that alternative arrangements be made immediately to ensure safe travel across the Ganvi ravine.
