External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar will visit New York to strengthen India's bid for a seat on the United Nations Security Council. According to the official programme, he will launch India's official mission to the UN headquarters for the period 2028-29.

As per the UN schedule, the Foreign Minister is scheduled to meet UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Monday afternoon. After his visit to New York, he will travel to Brussels on July 14 and 15, where he will attend the meetings of the 'India-European Union Trade and Technology Council'.
