The state government has implemented new rules to strengthen food safety. Now, no confectioner or caterer will be able to prepare food for any large public event, such as a wedding, birthday celebration, bhandara, or other gathering without a valid FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) license or registration.

Chief Medical and Health Officer, Jaipur II, Dr. Manish Mittal, stated that organizers must provide the department with the necessary information before the event. This will include the date, time, and location of the event, the organizer's name, the name of the caterer or confectioner, their FSSAI license or registration number, and details related to food preparation.

The government aims to ensure the quality and hygiene of food served at large events to effectively control incidents such as foodborne illness and food poisoning. Those who fail to comply with the new regulations could face action under the Food Safety Act.
