External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar will be leaving for the US and Belgium after his tour of the Gulf countries. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, Dr. Jaishankar will arrive in New York today, where he will launch India's official campaign for the 2028-29 term in the United Nations Security Council.

During his stay in New York, the Minister of External Affairs will also meet UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and hold bilateral meetings with representatives of various countries.

Jaishankar will then travel to the Belgian capital Brussels, where he will participate in the third meeting of the India-European Union (EU) Trade and Technology Council to be held on July 14 and 15. During the visit, he will also hold bilateral talks with his counterparts from the European Union and Belgium.
