Earthquake tremors were felt in some parts of Parbhani, Hingoli and Latur districts of Marathwada after midnight. Two consecutive strong tremors were felt in Hingoli district around 1:30 am.

The intensity of this earthquake has been recorded as 4.6 on the Richter scale. The local administration has informed that more mild tremors of the earthquake were felt in the area till morning.

The epicenter of the earthquake is said to be Pangra Shinde village in Vasmat taluka of Hingoli district. The administration is reviewing the situation after the earthquake, and there is no information yet about any major loss of life or property.

Meanwhile, the administration has appealed to citizens not to panic and not to believe any rumors. The administration has also clarified that citizens should only trust the information received from official agencies.
