Today in New Delhi, bilateral and delegation-level talks were held between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Austrian Chancellor Dr. Christian Stocker. During these discussions, coordination agreements were signed with the aim of further strengthening bilateral relations across various sectors, including trade, skill development, food security, and conservation. The Prime Minister stated that Austria would further strengthen cooperation in the fields of engineering and technology. He noted that agreements have been concluded specifically between the IITs and the Austria-Hungary Institute.

The Prime Minister remarked that the entire world is currently passing through an extremely grave and tense situation—the repercussions of which are being felt everywhere—and that in such a tense climate, military conflict will not resolve these problems.

Meanwhile, Dr. Christian Stocker paid homage to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, by laying a wreath at the memorial site at Rajghat.
