The Indian Meteorological Department has informed that favorable conditions for the advance of Southwest Monsoon rains in the states of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar and Chhattisgarh in the next two days.

Chance of rain with thunder and lightning has been predicted in the state in the next 36 hours. The weather department has predicted a heat wave in Marathwada and Vidarbha today.

Meanwhile, heavy rain with gale force winds has been reported in Mohadi taluka of Bhandara district today around noon.
