In light of the upcoming monsoon season, the Dehradun District Administration has accelerated the pace of its preparations. During a review meeting chaired by District Magistrate Dr. Ashish Chauhan, officials from various departments were directed to complete all necessary preparations before the onset of the monsoon.

The District Magistrate directed the departments responsible for roads, electricity, drinking water, irrigation, the Municipal Corporation, the Police, and other related sectors to establish 'Task Forces,' 'Control Rooms,' and 'War Rooms' at their respective levels to ensure the prompt redressal of public grievances. He issued specific instructions that ongoing public-priority works on roads must be completed by June 7. Furthermore, he directed that as soon as these works are finished, the repair and restoration of the concerned roads should commence immediately.

He directed officials to expedite the channelization of rivers, canals, and seasonal streams; to ensure that roads remain pothole-free; and to take measures to guarantee the smooth functioning of the drainage system. Instructions were also issued to enhance the vigilance of 'Rapid Response Teams' in areas prone to waterlogging and to deploy work teams equipped with water pumps at sensitive locations.

The District Magistrate directed the Traffic Police to exercise special vigilance to ensure the smooth flow of traffic. Additionally, instructions were given to regularly monitor complaints registered on the 'CM Helpline' and to ensure that these grievances are resolved within a stipulated timeframe.
