Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis prayed at the feet of Lord Vithuraya to keep the Warkaris and farmers participating in the Wari happy. Present on this occasion were Union Minister of State Murlidhar Mohol, MLA Hemant Rasane, Mayor Manjusha Nagpure, Divisional Commissioner Sheetal Teli-Ugale, Pune City Joint Commissioner of Police Sanjay Darade, District Collector Jitendra Dudi, President of Shri Sant Tukaram Maharaj Sansthan H.B.P. Jalindar More, Palkhi Festival Chief H.B.P. Ganesh Maharaj More, H.B.P. Vaibhav Maharaj More, H.B.P. Dilip Maharaj More, Trustee H.B.P. Vikramsinh More, H.B.P. Umesh Maharaj More, H.B.P. Laxman Maharaj More, President of Shri Nivdunga Vithoba Devasthan Sansthan Hiralal Malu, local public representatives, and others.
Fadnavis said, "I have taken darshan and sought blessings from the Palkhis of Sant Shri Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Sant Shri Tukaram Maharaj. The Pune Municipal Corporation has efficiently resolved the difficulties at the halt location of Sant Shri Dnyaneshwar Maharaj's Palkhi in Pune city and has expanded the facilities. This will be further expanded next year."
Urging the Warkaris to enjoy the Wari and reach Pandharpur safely, Chief Minister Fadnavis prayed at the feet of Lord Vithuraya for the pilgrimage to be completed safely and smoothly.
Warkaris immersed in devotion to the beats of cymbals (taal) and drums (mridunga)... chants of 'Dnyanoba Tukaram' and 'Mauli, Mauli' echoing... pilgrims carrying Tulsi Vrindavan on their heads and holding flags in their hands—the city of Pune is resounding with such a devout atmosphere.
