CBSE has lodged a complaint with the Delhi Police regarding cyberattacks on its post-result services portal. According to CBSE, round-the-clock monitoring ensured that all these attacks were successfully repelled; no data was stolen, and the system remained untampered with. The Board has demanded a thorough investigation into the matter and legal action against those responsible.

According to CBSE, the portal was launched on June 2, 2026, to provide post-examination services—such as verification of answer sheets, re-calculation of marks, and re-evaluation—to Class 12 students. The Board reported repeated cyberattacks on the portal over the past three days. These attacks involved a massive influx of 'malicious traffic' originating from various domestic and international IP addresses.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the motives behind these attacks were to destabilize the platform, prevent genuine users from accessing services, and facilitate unauthorized data acquisition by elements acting against national interests. Given the nature, scale, and coordinated methodology of the attacks, CBSE is treating the matter with the utmost seriousness. Consequently, the Board has approached the IFSO (Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations) unit of the Delhi Police to request a comprehensive investigation.

Nevertheless, the Board has clarified that despite these malicious attempts, all its systems and databases remain completely secure. So far, there is no evidence of data leakage, data tampering, or unauthorized access. CBSE stated that the cyberattacks were successfully thwarted through the cooperation of various national organizations and agencies. IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, Digital India Corporation, the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), CERT-In, and other cybersecurity divisions of the Central Government played a significant role in these efforts.
