The swearing-in ceremony of the new NDA government in Bihar is scheduled to take place today at Lok Bhawan. Governor Syed Ata Hasnain will administer the oath of office to Samrat Chaudhary as the Chief Minister. During this ceremony, the Deputy Chief Minister and several other ministers are also expected to take their oaths of office.

It is noteworthy that during the meeting of the NDA legislative party held yesterday, Samrat Chaudhary was unanimously elected as the leader, thereby paving the way for him to become the Chief Minister.

Speaking of Samrat Chaudhary's political journey, he entered active politics in 1990 through the RJD. In 1999, he served as the Agriculture Minister in the Rabri Devi government. Subsequently, in 2000 and 2010, he was elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from the Parbatta constituency.

In 2014, he joined the JD(U), and later, in 2017, he joined the BJP. Following his entry into the BJP, his political stature grew steadily. In 2023, he was appointed as the State President of the Bihar BJP, and in 2024, he became the Deputy Chief Minister. Now, he is set to take the oath as the Chief Minister.
