Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Ansuya Jamwal, chaired a meeting to review arrangements for the smooth and peaceful observance of Muharram, scheduled for June 26, 2026.

The meeting focused on sanitation, street lighting, water supply, deployment of water tankers, healthcare services, and security arrangements. The ADC directed concerned departments to complete all necessary preparations well in advance.

Representatives of religious bodies attended the meeting and highlighted requirements and issues related to the conduct of Muharram processions and associated activities. Senior officers from the police, health, information, municipal, and other departments were also present.
