Keeping in mind the increasing crowd of Warkari and devotees going to Pandharpur on the occasion of Ashadhi Ekadashi, the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation has made special transport plans in Washim district. Accordingly, a total of 116 additional ST buses will be launched for Pandharpur from four depots - Washim, Risod, Karanja and Mangrulpir - from July 20 to 30.

Since a large number of devotees leave for Pandharpur every year during the Ashadhi Yatra, this special arrangement has been made keeping in mind the possibility of an increase in the number of passengers this year as well. The additional buses will provide safe, comfortable and timely travel facilities to the devotees and will also reduce the pressure on the regular bus service.

This special planning by the corporation will enable the Warkari and devotees of Washim district to travel more easily, safely and in a planned manner for the darshan of Vitthal and will help in making traffic management more effective during the Ashadhi Yatra.
